Rice, oats, many starches are gluten-free and they are very affordable.

Many gluten-free flours are a blend of potato, rice, tapioca flour and they are high on carb.

Gluten-free diet cures PCOD

Not enough evidence for this.  A balanced diet can definitely help.

Humans were not meant to digest wheat

There is no evidence to back this claim. Humans have been lovingly eating gluten for ages.

Gluten-free is environment friendly

Rice is gluten-free uses 4000-5000 L of water/kilo grain produced.

Conclusion:

Remove gluten only if you are allergic or sensitive to it. Eating a balanced meal is important.
